Bare Bones - Sacred Seeds

Lynn Elzinga-Henry and Suzi Windram

Bare bones can refer to the skeleton of a body or indeed of a garden. Sacred seeds are both literal and metaphorical.

Suzi’s work is of the earth. The cycle from emergence to decay. It shows a fascination with mortality and metamorphosis of our physical beings. Lynn’s work focuses on the design and interplay within the plant kingdom. Sacred seeds that germinate gardens of the imagination.

Textiles, ceramics and mixed media express sometimes stark but always evocative images of the natural and metaphysical world.

Lynn Elzinga-Henry and Suzi Windram have worked together extensively in a variety of media and this exhibition explores convergent themes of the natural and metaphysical world.

The works are realized through sculptural pieces formed from the earth’s clay and imagined gardenscapes on natural fibre textile wall pieces.
