Country in Bloom reflects the living spirit of Country—where land, water, plants, and animals are deeply connected. The flowing patterns represent journeys and waterways, while the blooms and birdlife symbolise renewal, growth, and the ongoing cycle of life. This piece honours the beauty, resilience, and story of Country as it continues to flourish.

Journey Written in Water

The manta ray glides along a story path, symbolising freedom and flow. The dotted lines and circles show meeting places and the movement through ocean country

The First Waters represents a journey through ocean country where the shark moves with quiet strength. The surrounding patterns reflect connection, guidance, and the unseen paths that link like beneath the water.

Earth Circles represents community and gathering. The central circles represent places where stories are shared, while the connection paths show relationships among people, land, and tradition.

Tide Paintings tells a story of intersecting journeys, waterways and meeting places. The layered patterns represent how stories overlap and continue across generations.

Tides of Connection

Inspired by Aboriginal-style storytelling, this piece reflects the connection between land, water, and journey. The flowing lines represent pathways and movement, while the circular forms symbolise meeting places and shared experiences. Dot work is used to create rhythm and texture, echoing natural patterns found in the environment. The ocean-inspired colours bring a sense of calm and continuity, balanced by earthy tones that ground the work. Together, these elements speak to connection, community, and the stories carried through the landscape.

Reef Wanderer depicts the near-threatened leafy sea dragon and represents the calm water of the shallow reef. Layers of colour, texture, and flowing forms capture ethereal elegance and the quiet intricacy of its natural environment. The work highlights the often-unseen wonders of the ocean and reflects the fragile, interconnected beauty of marine life.
