CHILDRENS WORKSHOP || Medieval Brass Rubbing
Choose a brass replica from my collection, pick a paper, and select your favorite colour fine crayon. I will give some tips and tricks to get you started. If you would like, you can add to your artwork some ink stamps of heraldry designs for fun.
The parent or guardian is required to stay for the hour duration and is welcome to walk around the Fleurieu Arthouse and browse at the beautiful art on offer, the current exhibition, and buy a coffee.
They enjoy this time experiencing a different art form.

WORKSHOP || Casting nature into silver: pendant or earrings
In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the alchemy of silver clay and silicone putty to create your own mould from a special object of your choice (leaves, shells, stone, sentimental objects, etc.). Using your mould, you’ll cast your object into silver clay and turn it into a unique piece of wearable art—either a pendant or a pair of earrings.
You'll get to experience the full transformation process on-site, including firing and polishing, watching your soft clay piece become solid fine silver magic! After the session, your finished jewellery will be ready to take home within approximately 2–3 hours, or the following day depending on the firing schedule.

Shirley also has some exciting updates! The workshop now includes firing and polishing. You can now experience first-hand how the fired clay turns into silver…magic!
After the 2.5-hour class, your ring will be fired (this takes about an hour). You can either take a break and return to finish polishing it yourself (after about 20 minutes), or Shirley can finish it for you to collect later that day, or on another day, depending on studio hours.
Gift boxes are available too, so you can wrap your hand-made ring and then present it to a loved-one.
Private class (Group 4-30) inquiries are always welcome!
