Design and Make your own Metal Wall Sculpture (Monday night)

Have you always had ideas for a garden wall piece but not the know how to get it done? 

Join the team at A Small Art Factory as they share their skills with you in creating your own metal laser cut wall art.

This workshop is in 2 sessions. 

Session 1. You will sketch and design your idea with the assistance and instruction around what will work with laser cutting and a demo of the process. The size range will be approx 60 x 60cm ( negotiable)

Anna will then (off site) CAD draw your design and get it laser cut. 

***Follow up date Saturday September 9th 8 -6pm

We will regroup to deliver your cut metal where you will (with assistance) shape up the piece and decide what finish you would like on the piece. 

We will provide rust patina and Penetrol to take home & lacquer the piece when it is ready.

Some tips and tools for un(b)locking your creativity, using mindfulness and meditation.

Duration: 2.5 hours talk (including tea break)
During this 2.5 hour class you will be introduced to mindfulness and meditation, participate in practical exercises, join a group discussion, take home Tips and enjoy afternoon tea. Suitable for experienced and beginners alike.

Megan Spencer is an experienced media arts professional and a mindfulness meditation teacher. She brings together her unique set of skills to offer a class that explores how mindfulness and meditation can help to take the struggle out of accessing creativity - especially when it feels locked, blocked or out of reach!

Find the space to pause, breathe and simply be alive – something we all need to stay well, creative and inspired.

Places are limited! Bookings close by Thursday 22nd August.

PLEASE NOTE: Mindfulness meditation is not recommended under certain medical or health conditions. This class will involve some gentle movement and silent introspection. A fun afternoon learning to knit with big chunky wool and knitting needles with Louiza Hebhardt: Queen Creator at OohLouLah Chunky Knits.

We'll cover the most basic of knitting basics and use big needles and chunky yarn in this B1 workshop. By the end of the session you'll be able to cast on, knit garter stitch and cast off. You may even leave with your very own headband to keep your ears warm after class!
