Claire Kennett
Mixed Media Artist

Born and raised in rural South Australia, I reside on Kaurna country and am based in my art and teaching studio at the Fleurieu Arthouse, McLaren Vale. I teach Children’s Art Classes, a parent and child art program (Creative Relationships), run holiday workshops and create artworks.

I work mainly in Mixed Media, Mosaic and Jewellery (silver and stone), My artworks explore various ways of viewing, understanding and interpreting my personal connections with the natural environment.

My artworks form part of my ongoing practice of deeply understanding connections between myself and local, natural environments through various artmaking techniques. I advocate for the restoration and preservation of natural forest areas and ancient gum trees.
