Trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London during the late 60s, Alan Todd is now based in Adelaide and has a collection of his sculptural pieces available at Fleurieu Arthouse.
“In a sense, all of my work is autobiographical. For me, art doesn’t exist in a vacuum and while instinct will always play a part there is always a beginning point based upon an exploration of an idea. Thematically, I have always drawn from my life. That is not to say that the works are illustrations so much as the way small moments in time are starting points for exploration.”
