Since she could hold a crayon, Donna has been creating art of some form or another. For many years art has been her passion. It helps her to express herself and to tell the stories of her life through pictures and to share the beauty that she finds in the local area. She also loves the inward, quiet time that drawing and painting provide. Donna works mainly in watercolour and solarplate (photopolymer) etching, the latter a process that fits well with her finely detailed work. Each print is hand inked and individually printed, often with subtle differences between prints.
Donna has lived in the Willunga area since moving from the U.S. over 25 years ago. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from a tertiary school in California and worked in illustration and graphic arts before moving to Australia. She has shown work in several exhibitions over the past 25 years and has artwork on display in several shops and galleries around South Australia.
