Fleurieu Arthouse presents our Studio Artist's annual group exhibition curated from 12 months of creative work produced in their separate studios. Artists work daily, monthly and yearly responding creatively across the changing seasons and individual life events. They develop, explore, experiment and refine their ideas and practice through the routine ebb and flow of 'life', as we each know it. The past 12 months has seen a communal experience of collapse and adaptation- our own individual yet shared encounters with extraordinary historical moments writ large. Meanwhile the ebb and flow of life continues, each of us pulled along through cultural shocks and shifts - yet the ordinary and routine goes on, and we each continue creating. Some work responds directly to the challenges from our different perspectives and positions, and others are pieces of creative work produced through this significant historical moment of time- the ebb and flow, shock, collapse and adaptations embedded in the final physical objects through the act of creating.
