Join Jasmine Swales, silversmith from Studio Surf on Yorke Peninsula, at Fleurieu Arthouse for a fun and interactive silver jewellery making workshop - guaranteed to spark your creative side.
In this full day session, Jasmine will guide you through the process to create your very own sterling silver ring, and then move on to more advanced silver-smithing techniques to set a piece of sea glass, beach pebble or other cabochon into a hand-shaped sterling silver bezel. Your silver bezel can then be turned into a pendant or added to your handmade ring before completing the final set and polish.
Silversmithing techniques used in this session include ring forming, soldering, texturing, hand piercing, layering solder joins, bezel setting, burnishing and polishing.
All materials are provided, including silver and a take-home worksheet.
Lunch will be provided for this all day workshop. Please advise any dietary requirements when booking.
Please tie long hair back, wear closed shoes and bring your reading glasses if you need them.

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There is no minimum age requirement , however we will be using flames, hammers and chemicals. A certain level of coordination and patience is required.

Cancellations within 48 hours will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 24 hours will not receive a refund.
